On 30th October I will be running Dublin City Marathon in aid of Plan International and their Because I am a Girl initiative
When I took up running in Fit4Life in my local athletic club in 2014 I never in my wildest dreams thought I would run a marathon, but the hard months of training are nearly done, and I will be running 26.2 miles in the Dublin City Marathon on October 30th alongside my Lusk A.C. team mates.
Plan International has been working with children living in poverty for almost 80 years, taking action and standing up for every child’s right to fulfil their potential.
Because I am a Girl is Plan International’s global initiative to transform power relations so that girls everywhere learn, lead, decide and thrive.
Through your support Plan International can implement projects that tackle some of the biggest challenges that girls face in developing countries. Removing barriers for girls means, not only a better life for them, but a safer, healthier and prosperous world for us all.
